D4vd cancels concert after body found in his Tesla is identified

(NewsNation) — The decomposed body found in a vehicle registered to singer D4vd has been identified as a 15-year-old girl.  

The Los Angeles Country Department of Medical Examiner identified the girl as Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The cause of her death has been listed as deferred as the investigation continues.

On Sept. 8, Celeste's remains were discovered at a Hollywood tow yard.  

According to the medical examiner, the victim was a female, with wavy black hair and a tattoo of “Shhh...” on her right index finger. D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, also has a "Shhh" tattoo on his right index finger, pictures show.

Her mother told TMZ that the description of the person matched her daughter Celeste.

KTLA reports that Hernandez was reported missing from Lake Elsinore in 2024, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Sources also told Rolling Stone that the car, a 2023 Tesla Model Y, was seen parked in different places in the last few months.

D4vd was notified of the investigation after the body was found and is “cooperating” with authorities, his spokesperson said, according to Rolling Stones.  

The “Dirty Secrets” singer and songwriter has continued performing on his “Withered” world tour. However, according to TMZ he canceled his Seattle show that was scheduled for Wednesday night.
