(NewsNation) Inmates who spent time with Bryan Kohberger in jail described him as “annoying” and a “f---ing weirdo.”

Police interviews with multiple inmates have been made public for the first time as investigators begin to release case files in the investigation into Kohberger, hours after his sentencing.

Kohberger was given four life sentences Wednesday for the 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students: Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin.

In one police report, detectives described an inmate in the same facility as Kohberger saying that Kohberger was a “f----- weirdo.”

The inmate told investigators if he wasn't worried about legal repercussions, he would have physically assaulted Kohberger.

When asked if he thought Kohberger was guilty, the inmate said "his eyes tell a story."

Another inmate who was housed next to Kohberger in Latah County Jail from August 2024 to September 2024 said Kohberger was the "smartest individual" he’d encountered in the jail.

The man added that he found Kohberger "annoying" because he moved around all night and washed his hands "dozens of times a day."

Kohberger, according to the inmate, showered for up to an hour at a time and would only nap in the day, staying awake throughout the night.

Now that he's been sentenced, Kohberger is expected to spend the rest of his days in Idaho’s sole super-max prison, the Idaho Maximum Security Institution.
