Bubble Planet, an immersive exhibition at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, has shut down one month after opening over “technical issues.”
The organisers announced on their official website on Wednesday that the large-scale event closed on Tuesday, adding that tickets for subsequent dates would be refunded

The sudden closure came after some children were reportedly injured in an exhibition balloon pit shortly after launch day, according to two parents who spoke to TVB.
One child was suspected to have been wounded after running into a four-cornered stone pillar base hidden beneath the balloons, while another was believed to have been injured by a sharp metal nail inside the pit.

The international exhibition was co-produced by European curator Exhibition Hub and entertainment company Fever, Bubble Planet has been shown in cities including New York, Milan and Los Angeles. Visitors are immersed in a sea of bubbles, with balloons and light effects.
The Hong Kong show was produced by Last Bullet Production and supported by Exhibition Hub.
Customers also complained on Google Reviews that the event did not provide children’s tickets, with babies as young as eight months requiring a full price ticket of HK$400.
