(NewsNation) — The shooter behind the deadly attack on a Minneapolis Catholic school and church that left at least 20 injured is dead, Minnesota authorities said Wednesday.
The Ritchfield Police Department reports that three people are dead, including the shooter, and at least 20 people are injured following the attack at Annunciation Catholic School. On Facebook, the department described the suspect as a man dressed in all black and armed with a rifle.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the shooter.
At least five of the injured are children, The Associated Press reports, with a pediatric trauma hospital saying five children were admitted for care.
Annunciation School serves pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Classes began on Monday, and the school was scheduled to have an all-school mass Wednesday morning.
