A man accused of frightening residents in West Hollywood by peeping into apartments, following them, and, at times, exposing himself, has been taken into custody.
Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrested Jackie Harrington as he was waiting at a bus stop in the 7100 block of Sunset Boulevard on Sunday, the department announced.
He was booked on a charge of indecent exposure.
On Sept. 19, investigators said a woman was inside her apartment complex laundry room when she noticed a man who was exposing himself standing right outside the laundry room’s screen door.
“The victim screamed, causing the suspect to leave,” investigators said. She provided video footage and pictures of the suspect, which ultimately led to Harrington’s arrest.

Residents told NewsNation affiliate KTLA that the same man has been trespassing at apartment complexes, peering into windows, exposing himself, and even threatening violence against women for over seven years. They said he has been arrested several times but ultimately released each time.
Elane Veksler, who spoke to KTLA's Chris Wolfe, and her husband contacted authorities and turned surveillance footage of the lewd behavior almost one year ago and said that nothing ever came of it at that time.
Many have turned to neighborhood apps such as Nextdoor to warn others and share security footage documenting his visits.
Investigators are asking for all potential victims to contact them at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
