(NewsNation) — Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is providing an update on the issues with air traffic control staffing and technology at Newark Airport.
Duffy earlier this month called for a massive investment of billions of dollars in the country’s air traffic control system following a series of issues that have plagued it, including outdated technology. The Transportation chief also recently launched a cash incentive program aimed at recruiting and retaining air traffic controllers.
The moves come after President Trump and the secretary vowed to overhaul the Federal Aviation Administration.
